Vanilla Cupcakes from Lana at Couture Cupcakes


125g Butter
¾ Cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1 ¾ Cups Flour
2tsp Baking Powder
1tsp Salt
10ml Vanilla Essence
1 Cup Milk

Preheat the oven to 180.
Beat the butter and sugar until mixed.
Add the eggs and beat a little.
Add Balance of Ingredients and beat until mixed. Do not over beat.
Fill Cupcake wrappers ¾ full and bake for 15 minutes or until golden.

Enjoy with a delicious Brandy butter cream frosting for a Christmas twist!


60g butter
3cups icing sugar
30ml brandy


Cream butter and ½ icing sugar.
Add brandy, mix well and add the rest of the icing sugar.
Mix well.
Add more icing sugar if a thicker result is required.

This recipe from Couture Cupcakes has been passed down to Lana and now to us by her mother.
Lana whispered in my ear that she loves just eating spoonfuls of the raw mixture before baking! Ooh, yummy! I can’t wait to try this one!
